Since our foundation in 1990, the Multichem group has developed an efficient and extensive international network aimed at sourcing speciality chemicals and additives for the pharmaceutical, flavour & fragrance, and chemical manufacturing sectors.

Operating on a global scale, we have received recognition from many major chemical companies for our attention to detail, our highly specialised services, and our reliability in providing speedy and competitive quotations from quality-audited sources.

Whilst emphasis on growth from our traditional markets will remain of high importance to us, it is also our intention to identify additional opportunities for expansion by focusing on compatible new markets. It is our objective to nurture our business by adhering to the highest standard of ethics in our client dealings whilst continuing to offer superlative levels of professional service.

As of February 2023, Multichem has become 1 of only 2 facilities to be licensed by SAHPRA to import, warehouse and distribute APIs. Multichem Sourcing is extremely proud to have been a pioneer in this entirely new realm of licensing. In addition to holding the requisite SAHPRA licence, Multichem is also registered as a pharmacy by the South African Pharmaceutical Association.

Securing SAHPRA and SAPC Accreditation in not only signifies Multichem’s unwavering commitment to regulatory compliance and industry-leading standards, but also ensures streamlined market entry, reduced risks, and sustained growth.

Multichem Sourcing has implemeted a formalised Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) supplier verification procedure, as well as following Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines. This in turn enables us to warrant supply chain integrity, including managing environmental factors and eliminating counterfeiting risks, ensuring that all their APIs are of the highest quality.
